Kelly Jones on wrapping up their latest world tour

We’ve been continuously touring for 12 years and it always throws up something different every time we go out on the road. The different places we’ve been to over the last 12 months have opened our eyes vastly, playing in Moscow where we had no idea of whether a audience is going to turn up then all of a sudden there are 2,500 people singing your words back at you, same goes for playing places in the Far East for the first time, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and finding that people know everything about you.

Playing live for us is the time where we get to do our job without any outside influence or business matters to be around us and that sometimes can feel like therapy. It’s like Willie Dixon said, when you are on the road you want to be in the house, and when you are in the house you want to be on the road.

Playing live is what we do, even if the industry collapsed today we’d still find a place to play tomorrow!
